At Decorating Plus, Custom Means Creative,
not Necessarily Expensive'.

Lynne Maxfield would like to invite you to Decorating Plus, where decorating rooms is fun and affordable. Lynne's unique approach to design will reflect your personality in the space in which you live or work.

Decorating Plus provides the ultimate range of selections including wall covering, flooring, fabrics, paints, custom furniture, tile, window treatments, cabinets, and countertops. It is also a remarkable resource for many different and hard-to-find products. Lynne has fresh ideas for the latest in design trends.

Decorating Plus was established in Auburn, Maine, in 1984 by Lynne. It is a full-service interior design firm specializing in full project coordination.

Starting with blueprint review, specifying, designing, and following through to the ultimate in decorating and color coordination, Decorating Plus also offers a full consultation and personal shopper service.

Lynne and her staff stay right on top of the latest trends, knowing which colors will be in fashion 5 years in advance.

She continuously updates her training, credentials, and certifications as an interior designer while gaining a deep understanding of the challenges and solutions of commercial and residential interior designs.

Let Decorating Plus help you uncover your personal style and transform your home. "There are no hard and fast rules in design."

We try to create a sense of quality and timelessness through a masterful blend of unusual juxtapositions of furniture styles along with interesting mixtures of colors and textures.

"You and your family need a style that you are comfortable with," said Lynne. "We can help you narrow down your preferred style, select products, and provide labor. You should have what you really want. If what you desire is not in your current budget, be prepared to do the project in phases so you can get what you truly want in the finished treatments. Focus on one room at a time, get it done right, and then go on to another room."

"Some people know exactly what they want, so the designer's role is to guide them along, helping them to avoid expensive mistakes," said Lynne.

"Once put together, look at all the samples right in your home. Live with the combination for a few days to see if you and your family are happy with the combined group." Lynne believes decorating should be fun, stress-free, and enjoyable. She works hard to make sure you feel that way during the entire process. Decorating Plus began as a one-of-a-kind, all-in-one design center and continues to have the solutions to all your decorating needs in one store!

It is so easy to get started. Simply visit Decorating Plus and bring in your 'homework'. "For an estimate of your project, tell us your room and budget objectives," said Lynne. "For a more lengthy and comprehensive consultation, a detailed breakdown of your project will give you a layout, suggestions, and cost analysis for a fabulously inspired room."

Upon your initial visit to see Lynne, she will explain the services her design firm can provide and the fees that pertain to your individual project. She will also provide insurance quotes.

With her hands-on approach to all aspects of the building and decorating trades, she is sought by general contractors, carpenters, businesses, and homeowners for her knowledge and expertise.

She comes up with solutions quickly, keeping projects moving on schedule with her timesaving and cost-effective project management.

With a strong reputation, spreading from northern Maine down the East Coast and into Florida, Decorating Plus has had its kitchen and bath designs and decorating work featured in the nationally published magazines Traditional Home and Down East.

An upcoming issue of Traditional Home will again feature more kitchen and bath work done by Lynne in a design show house.

Visit the Auburn Savings Bank, the Rangeley Inn, Wolf Cove Inn in Poland or the Olde Mill Tavern in Harrison and see for yourself some projects Lynne has completed. "We do it all," said Lynne.
